For most things 25 people is pretty practical but I'm working on two class projects right now with groups of 35 people and this was a big bummer. It would be so helpful!

Interested in using this for "Neighborhood Watch." A group size of 50 or 100+ would be helpful. Only 1 to 3 people would be posting messages at a time, but it would broadcast to a large number of members

My fraternity is off campus, and coordinating rides to/from has been much easier with GroupMe (especially using the map) but not everyone is able to join the group. Just doubling the limit to 50 would cover most reasonable groups.

Our church is using it for last minute info like meeting canceled, or bad weather update. So we need a way to text one number and it go to 2 or 3 groups, or a group size of 100. This would be very helpfull in the Lords work!!

I'm a member of a fire department. With many organizations involving emergency services, there is a great demand in keeping touch with all the members including those in the Fire Department, Police Department & EMS. A 25-person limit wouldn't be enough. I believe if you had a limit somewhere in the range of 50-100 people per group would sound more reasonable. I would hope you can update the application to accept those parameters.

Add another request for this. I'm part of a church that uses it just to keep in touch during the week, and organize impromptu get togethers.

Would love to be able to use this to communicate to parents of my son's hockey and baseball teams. However, it looks like we'll need about 30-35 users in the group to allow for both parents and coaches.

Hi everyone,
Currently, there are no plans to expand the default group limit beyond 25, largely because of the potential for spam and abuse of the service.
That said, we're always willing to raise group limits for responsible users—just send us an email at support@groupme.com or submit a request on this site (above) and we'll talk to you about it.
Thanks! #)

Dear GroupMe, your service is absolutely wonderful. Our college's Freshman Council is hoping to use this service as it's primary means of communication, however we have 30 members and it seems as though 25 is the limit for groups. Could we possibly get it raised to 30? If so, that would be incredible.
I sent an email, but I wanted to post on here just in case that would speed things up.
Thank you!!

I would love to be able to use group me to get reminders and events out to my sorority sisters, however we have 46 girls in my pledge class and the group limit is 25. I don't want to have to divide the girls into two groups not allow people to get a hold of everyone because we always have last minute things that pop up and its really hard to let everyone know about them.

I requested an increase with our reasons why. Groupme support came through, increasing our limit to 50. I was also informed that if our needs grow, to let them know and that they would help us out.
A warning though, not everyone on our list wants to be notified of every added member (as we build our membership). I turned notifications off temporarily so no one is being texted with each new added member, but that also turns off our main purpose of notifying everyone if there is an emergency in our neighborhood. I've tried to let everyone know how to use the #mute and #unmute commands, but I don't think it has sunk in for some.
Thanks go to the Groupme support team.

I've got a group of guys that play soccer and our group is always getting bigger. So far I only encountered the problem of being limited to 25 when I try to add new members within the GroupMe app for iPhone, I simple way around it is to add new users through the website using safari or whatever web browser. So far I'm up to around 30.
