GroupMe lets you effortlessly group text with the people in your life that are important to you. It's your real-life network, in your pocket. It's totally free and works on every phone.

The app will let you set up and chat with your own groups, and access some of our advanced features like location sharing, and photo sharing.

To setup GroupMe with your primary cell phone number, follow the steps below.

• Tap the "Get Started" button.
• Tap "Send" on the verification text message that pops up.
• Choose whether you'd like to receive messages through Push Notifications to the GroupMe app or as text messages to your iPhone's Messages app (SMS).
• On this next screen, enter your name and the email address you'd like associated with your GroupMe account.
  • You'll use this email to sign in on GroupMe.com to manage your groups and access some other features.
  • Your friends can also use this email address to add you to groups if they don't have your phone number.
• Tap "Finish"
• All your existing groups will be waiting for you on the Group page!
